SDBI Scholarship Admission Process

Students with strong applications and interview performance can receive up to 50% scholarships
(offered to the top 15 candidates)

Step - 1

Registration

Visit msc.sdbi.in and complete the online Pre-Admission form with accurate personal and academic details.

Upload:

  • Recent passport-size photograph
  • Government-issued ID proof
  • Graduation mark sheets (Sem 1 to latest semester)

Once submitted, you will receive an acknowledgment email with your Application Reference ID.

Step - 2

Letter of Intent & Document Upload

Log in to your dashboard and upload:

  • Letter of Intent (300–500 words)
  • Supporting academic documents
  • Projects completed during Graduation
  • Relevant certifications (technical or professional)

Letter Topics:

  • An Academic or Technical Achievement That Shaped My Career Path
  • A Challenge I Overcame During My Graduation Journey

Upload certificates, internship proofs, research work, or technical projects that highlight your skills and readiness for advanced study.

Step - 3

Application Review

The admissions committee evaluates each application based on:

  • Quality of Letter of Intent
  • Academic performance in Graduation
  • Projects, internships, and certifications
  • Alignment with SDBI's program vision

Shortlisted candidates are invited for a Personal Interview.

Step - 4

Interview Round

Attend an online or on-campus interview with the SDBI faculty panel.

Evaluation criteria include:

  • Technical understanding and analytical thinking
  • Interest in Data Science & Big Data
  • Clarity of career goals
  • Academic foundation and problem-solving ability
Step - 5

Scholarship & Admission Offer

Successful candidates receive:

  • Official Admission Offer Letter
  • Scholarship up to 50% on tuition fees

Offers are sent via registered email with next steps for enrollment.

Step - 6

Enrollment Confirmation

Confirm your admission by completing enrollment formalities and paying the initial fee within 10 days of receiving your offer.

You will receive provisional admission confirmation for the M.Sc. Data Science & Big Data Analytics program.

Note on QAT Exam: If your Graduation results are below 60% or you have not studied Mathematics in Semester 5 and Semester 6, you will be invited to appear for the Quantitative Aptitude Test (QAT) followed by a short interview for scholarship consideration.
